We are proud to invite you to our Second Annual Carnival Caravan Music Retreat directed by drummer/percussionist Scott Kettner. We offer a unique and intimate program where you will have the opportunity to explore Scott’s hybrid approach to playing rhythms from Brazil and New Orleans.

Scott will offer:Pandeiro, Maracatu, Drumset and Zabumba classes all weekend.

We are very excited to welcome special guest faculty, accordion master
Rob Curto to direct the Forró Ensemble and repertoire class for all
instrumentalists and vocalists.

Rob’s classes will explore the traditional songs, lyrics and styles of forró.

Whether you’re an instrumentalists seeking to improve your understanding of forró music, a drummer looking to expand your rhythmic vocabulary or a seasoned musician eager to improve your skills, CCMR will offer a unique musical experience unlike any other.
