I’m excited to announce that I’m creating a new community arts space at The Aulenbach House, 29 W. Tulpehocken, 2nd floor. It’s called “The Art Room.”

We’d like to invite adults and families to join us for our grand opening on Saturday, July 1st, from 12 noon to 3 pm. Kids of all ages are welcome. It’s a Free event with some “take-home” art projects and light refreshments. Please park in the adjacent lot.

After July 1st, we’ll begin offering classes throughout the summer, and continue into the Fall and school year. Courses will include fine arts and crafts for adults and teens, and family time for parents and kids.
We’re also planning some Friday evening art and music lectures with tea and cookies.

Our mission is to bring people together to make “room for art” in their lives, and to serve the community with a wellspring of creativity and enjoyment for people of all ages. Hoping this is the beginning of a beautiful arts adventure for us all. As a long-time art teacher this has certainly been a dream for me.
