Join us on Sunday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. to hear author Janet Benton speak about her book, Lilli de Jong,with remarks from Dr. Robert D. Hicks, Director of the Mütter Museum. Set in Germantown in 1883, the author combines extensive historical research and local history to craft a fictional account of the title character’s experience challenging societal norms as an unwed mother. Along with remarks from the speakers there will be a display of medical objects on loan from the Mütter Museum to bring historical context to the book. A reception is included.
