“NO PRESSURE, BABA”

APRIL 21 – MAY 12, 2018

iMPeRFeCT Gallery is thrilled to present our first exhibit ever curated by high school students. We invite you to come and see “18”, an exhibition of artwork by students from the Germantown Friends School Class of 2018, curated by the Senior Studio Art students lead by Megan Culp. This same group has taken on the ReDRooM, along with their postcard design, the reception and programming for their exhibit.

The theme of the show explores the number 18, what it means, feels, and looks like to be 18 in the year 2018. The show will include diverse works, including installation, video, drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography.

The GReaT GLaSS eLeVaToR will have the installation “No pressure, baba” by GFS staff photographer and videographer Scott Foley, inspired by a recent trip to South Africa with some of the Seniors. His vibrant images will be available in different formats (some for a minimum donation of $1 each), and all proceeds will go to one of GFS’s Global Studies scholarship funds for students who require financial aid to study abroad.
