Awbury will be offering a variety of workshops and lectures to engage the community in learning about fibers-such as flax, wool, silk, and bamboo-and the plants and animals that provide them.
Taught by members of the Philadelphia Guild of Handweavers-a center for fiber arts.
Learn to make your own loom from straws and use recyclable paper straws to make a book mark, bracelet or necklace. This colorful project is perfect for kids and adults! Ages 6 and up. $10 includes materials. Space is limited. This class will be held at the Francis Cope House.
