Opening Reception Sat. June 24, 6 – 9pm

iMPeRFeCT Gallery invites you to the Opening Reception for our new exhibitions. In the main room, “Fevered Dreams/Fractured Times”, is the work of MARK WESTON, a Jamaican-born collage artist and writer who lives and works in Philadelphia. His work is a cross-examination of himself, his sexuality, his Jamaican roots, fashion, architecture, and the cultural influence post-colonial English culture. This exhibition was guest curated by Shawn Theodore.

THe BaCKRooM exhibits the papier mache sculpture by local artist ROSE BRADLEY. We also welcome the Village of Arts & Humanities’s Creative Impact Studios, with the exhibition “Where I Live, Where I Learn, North Philadelphia”. Five students selected by photographer Shawn Theodore will show their images in our new project space THe GReaT GLaSS eLeVaToR.

The ReDRooM features “American Standard” by REPHAEL EPSTEIN, a Brooklyn born artist who resides in Philadelphia and makes installations and sculpture.

REPHAEL EPSTEIN
‘American Standard’

By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language , Epstein wants to amplify the astonishment of the spectator by creating
compositions or settings that generate tranquil poetic images that leave traces and balances on the edge of recognition and alienation.
