Germantown Poetry Project Concert at Coleman Library

April 9, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free

Network for New Music wrapped up a great series of workshops this fall at the Joseph E. Coleman Northwest Regional Library. During the workshops, a team of artists worked with members of the Germantown community to create a series of poetry and music. The poems can be found on our website here: www.networkfornewmusic.org/gpp/

For the next stage of this project, the two poets, Trapeta B. Mayson and Frank Sherlock, have each produced two brand new poems inspired by their experiences in the workshops.
You can read two of these new poems by clicking on the following links:
My Town, Germantown – Trapeta B. Mayson
Remember & Imagine Need Not Be Two Separate Actions – Frank Sherlock

These poems will be set to music by composers Eric Moe and Jay Fluellen and performed on our Free April 8th and 9th concerts. We hope to see you there! Check back into our GPP web page between now and the concerts for more photos and videos from the workshops, and other updates.
