Ursula Rucker at First Person Arts Festival: My Father’s Daughter
Leeway co-presents Ursula Rucker’s (LTA ’08, ACG ’08) My Father’s Daughter at the 14th Annual First Person Arts Festival. This one-woman show paints a courageously honest portrait of a family struggling to overcome the effects of domestic abuse and addiction, while learning to forgive. Weaving poetry, music, and video imagery, Ursula draws parallels between her mother’s life and her own, illuminating how her mother’s relationships and struggles have shaped Ursula into the woman she is today.
Friday, November 6, doors open at 7:30pm at the Plays and Players Theater (1714 Delancey Pl). Tickets purchased before October 23 are $13; after October 23 are $15; and $12 for First Person Arts Members
